Quest 4 Character - Kindergarten D. Trinidad Hunt (Books) There are six chapters in the kindergarten manual. Each chapter consists of one quality and opens with an age relevant working definition of that quality. Each chapter also includes 4 activities, one of which includes a coloring self-reflective activity. This allows for explicit teaching of the quality. However, implicit activities are also included under the category of ‘life application’ activities.
Further, each chapter includes 2 stories written specifically for the curriculum. Because these stories can’t be found anywhere else students find them new and refreshing. In the first three chapters the activities, life scenarios, stories, and quotations center on making a difference, stretching our comfort zones to achieve and contribute more and having a positive attitude in life. The final chapter entitled ‘Choices and Consequences’. It is about helping students successfully navigate the challenging ocean of life with all the options available to them in today’s culture.

The first chapter highlights the difference between a win/lose attitude and a win/win attitude. The second chapter emphasizes the importance of positive peer relationships and how healthy relationships can support us in achieving our goals and dreams. The final chapter focuses on achieving our goals and dreams. The goal of the activities, life scenarios, stories, and quotations in all three chapters is to prepare the student for the next stage in their educational life, the experience and challenges of high school.

The first chapter highlights goal and planning strategies. The second chapter teaches students how to break through blocks and barriers that challenge them on the path to goal achievement. The final chapter is about turning failure into a learning experience and developing the psychological hardiness and perseverance to necessary for long-term success.

Quest 4 Character - Grade 11 Personal Pathways - Leadership Program D. Trinidad Hunt (Books) The eleventh grade curriculum opens with a Life Wheel Inventory that invites students to score themselves on such things as learning, relationship and life management skills. The curriculum focuses on life and leadership skills and as a young adult soon to enter college and/or the workforce. There are four chapters. The first is ‘Our Past is Not Our Future’. It highlights letting go of the past to create a bright and successful future. The second chapter focuses on the intellectual, emotional and social competencies necessary for adult success. The third chapter engages students in a strengths and talent analysis and writing their personal mission statement. And the final chapter is a time management chapter.

Quest 4 Character - Grade 12 Personal Pathways - Leadership Program D. Trinidad Hunt (Books)
The
twelfth grade curriculum focuses again on life and leadership skills
needed for entry into college and/or the workforce. The first two
chapters highlight the importance of relationship and communication
skills. The final two chapters focus on building a resume for work or
school and getting the job. This includes everything from dress to
interview skills. At the end of the curriculum students are invited
to do a retake of the Life Wheel Inventory to see how they progressed
over the two year process.
